Multi-facility reporting
Direct PointClickCare review
The problem PCC GURU solves
PointClickCare contains an enormous and constantly changing volume of clinical, administrative, financial, and operational information. Even within one facility, staff may not have the time or tools to monitor every relevant change, exception, missing item, or emerging trend.
The challenge becomes even greater when regional and corporate teams are responsible for many facilities. PCC GURU transforms authorized PointClickCare data into focused reports and alerts that help staff concentrate on information requiring attention.
Revenue integrity
Changes in a resident’s clinical condition or the services being provided may affect MDS responses and reimbursement.
PCC GURU reviews recent documentation for information that may warrant professional assessment by MDS and reimbursement personnel, including IV therapy, oxygen use, swallowing difficulty, coughing or choking, and other clinically relevant changes.
The MDS Coordinator can review the supporting information and move directly into the resident’s PointClickCare chart before deciding whether an Interim Payment Assessment is appropriate.
Flagship reports
PCC GURU includes an extensive and continually developing library of reports, audits, searches, summaries, and alerts. These three examples represent some of the platform’s most highly valued capabilities.

Find potential reimbursement opportunities. PCC GURU reviews recent clinical documentation for changes that may affect MDS responses and warrant professional IPA review.

Automate organization-wide chart review. Highlight missing, outdated, incomplete, or potentially problematic information across demographics, clinical records, assessments, care plans, and MAR/TAR setup.

See the complete wound story over time. Place repeated wound assessments into a longitudinal view so clinical leadership can recognize improvement, deterioration, and documentation patterns.
Additional report categories

Select Cards
The Select Cards screen separates the reports a user wants to keep on the online Dashboard from the reports the user wants delivered by email.
Reports are grouped into category tabs, and most include descriptive text. A preview control lets the user review a sample before adding the report to the Dashboard or subscribing by email.
Bright blue checkboxes indicate selections already active; pale gray checkboxes are not selected.
The first checkbox controls whether the report appears as a Dashboard card. The second independently controls email delivery, so the two report lists can be completely different.
For a self-selected email subscription, the user can set the frequency, initial delivery date, time of day, and whether weekends should be skipped.
Authorized multi-facility users can choose a digest covering all facilities they can access rather than only the currently selected facility.
Management can assign an emailed report according to PointClickCare Position, such as delivering a report to Dietitians or MDS Coordinators across selected facilities.
The Email checkbox still appears selected so the user can see that the report is already being received, but the management-assigned subscription cannot be removed by that user. Users may unsubscribe only from reports they personally selected.
The hamburger menu in the upper-right corner of each Dashboard card provides a consistent set of actions:
Automated delivery
Users can schedule reports for themselves, while management can apply consistent Position-based delivery across facilities.
Route required reports to the current users assigned to selected PointClickCare Positions, with protected delivery settings visible to each recipient.
Deliver reports for an individual facility or selected group of facilities.
Consolidate information across facilities for corporate and regional leadership.
Set frequency, initial delivery date, time of day, and weekend handling for self-selected subscriptions.
Deliver a secure online report rather than attaching sensitive report content when appropriate.
Move from a finding to the relevant chart, order, progress note, assessment, or supporting record.
Earlier awareness
Some clinical and operational events are more useful when reviewed shortly after they occur rather than in the next daily report.
PCC GURU can monitor selected newly entered PointClickCare information throughout the day, apply organization-defined rules, and route qualifying alerts based on PointClickCare Position, facility access, clinical exclusions, and delivery criteria.
Qualifying alert emails can provide direct access to the relevant PointClickCare chart context and a separate workflow for documenting the alert outcome.
From notification to documented follow-up
The alert workflow helps authorized staff move from an email notification to the relevant clinical context, document what occurred, and review historical alerts across the organization.
When the recipient is already signed into PointClickCare, the link opens the resident’s chart directly to the Orders tab.
If PointClickCare is currently open to a different facility, PCC GURU first switches the facility context and then opens the correct resident.
Normal PointClickCare access and permissions continue to apply.
The alert email also links to a secure HTTPS page that restates the alert details and displays the resident’s full name.
The reviewer must select a status, enter explanatory notes, and enter their name. All three fields are required before the update can be saved.
If the alert was previously updated, the page displays the saved status, notes, reviewer name, and update date and time.
The reviewer can add to or modify the information and save the revised status.
Review historical alerts across selected facilities and alert categories, including the current saved status and follow-up notes.
Displayed columns: Facility, Resident, Created Date, Description, Status, and Status Notes.
Export: The filtered Alerts Report can be exported to Excel.
