For authorized PCC GURU users

PCC GURU SMS Opt-In

Authorized staff members of participating organizations may voluntarily enroll to receive selected PCC GURU operational and clinical-review alerts by text message.

Who sends the messages?

PCC GURU LLC operates the PCC GURU Text Alerts program.

Sending number: (888) 487-8260

What messages are sent?

Selected non-marketing operational and clinical-review notifications generated for participating organizations using organization-defined criteria. Text messages are notification-only and do not include resident details.

How often?

Message frequency varies and may range from no messages to multiple messages per day, depending on facility activity, alert categories, qualifying events, and the facilities for which you are authorized.

How secure opt-in works

  1. Authenticate: Enter your PointClickCare username and password. PCC GURU authenticates the credentials against PointClickCare.
  2. Verify the number: Enter the mobile number you wish to enroll. It must match the mobile number in your PointClickCare User Profile.
  3. Review the disclosure: Read the message purpose, variable frequency, message/data-rate notice, STOP and HELP instructions, Privacy Policy, and SMS Terms.
  4. Affirmatively consent: Select the unchecked consent box and submit the enrollment.
  5. Confirmation: PCC GURU stores the verified consent record and sends a confirmation text from (888) 487-8260.

Your PointClickCare password is used only to authenticate and verify your profile during this submission. PCC GURU does not store the password in the SMS consent record.

Important program information

  • SMS enrollment is optional and separate from email delivery.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Changing the mobile number in your PointClickCare User Profile requires a new SMS opt-in for the new number.
  • Replying STOP blocks all PCC GURU texts to that number across organizations, usernames, facilities, and alert categories.
  • PCC GURU messages are not an emergency-alert system and do not replace your organization’s clinical or escalation procedures.
